Are you a veteran of military actions that have left you traumatized? Do you have
flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, problems in relationships, with appetite, with mood?
Many of these issues are common in this type of trauma. You avoid everything that can
remind you of the traumatic events. There are flashbacks, in which you feel as if you are
reliving the experience.
- Sleep;
- Appetite;
- Moods;
- Memory and concentration;
- Behavior;
- Ability to form and be in relationships;
- Ability to function in school or on the job.
Multiple traumatizing military actions will probably increase distress, requiring more time to treat. For this type of trauma, please see the section on Complex Trauma.
- Eye movement programming;
- Prolonged exposure to the traumatic events, by repeatedly telling the story;
- Guided imagery;
- Relaxation;
- Aerobic exercise several times a week;
- Consulting with a dietitian to reduce consuming foods than increase anxiety;
- Meditation or yoga or other activity that relaxes both the body and the mind;
- Learning to allow oneself to feel feelings and to express them.

Appointments Available in Person & Zoom
Since 1976, I have been practicing psychology, doing behavioral and cognitive therapies, humanistic therapy, assertiveness training, relaxation and guided imagery techniques, and providing treatment to various populations.
Throughout the years both in the US, in Los Angeles and in Israel, I have worked with people of all backgrounds, including religious Jews, ultra-orthodox Jews, secular Jews, Arabs, and some tourists. In the US, I worked with people from varied backgrounds and cultures.
I have worked extensively with people with special needs, providing behavioral and cognitive therapy, social skills training, independent living skills training, self-help skills training, and ongoing supportive therapy.
I have worked with people new to the various cultures and languages in which I lived and worked. Helping them adjust is an ongoing, long-term type of therapy.
Treatment is conducted both in English and Hebrew.
Treatment is conducted in person and on Zoom.
